Our journey began during the pandemic when immunity and well-being became a global priority. What started as a personal commitment soon became a mission: locally made, nutritious, delicious food that fits modern life.
Today: Sobako Products serves families across Sri Lanka and is available through leading retail partners including SPAR and GLOWMARK, while continuing to grow beyond borders.
Our Story
Sobako was inspired by a personal health journey. We experienced first-hand the importance of strengthening immunity and returning to traditional nourishment—yet we also saw a gap in the market.
Many “healthy” options were imported, overly processed, or lacked authentic Sri Lankan identity. At the same time, traditional grains and rice varieties that sustained generations were slowly being replaced by less nutritious modern alternatives.
We asked ourselves a simple question:
Why can we not make traditional Sri Lankan grains convenient for the 21st century lifestyle?
